Within the grounds of the American Academy is this small but beautiful memorial to honor two fellows of the Academy who died in World War I. Harry Thrasher was Fellow in Sculpture and Walter Ward had served as a Fellow in Architecture. A large arched mosaic is embedded into the wall above the marble sculpture of two kneeling American doughboys and a small bench.
