This eye-catching memorial has a 12 foot tall bronze bell mounted on a granite base. There are four sculptures representing servicemen from each of the branches of the military carved into niches on the bell. Around the top of the six-sided base are inscribed the names of all those from Illinois who lost their lives in the Korean War. Below this are engraved quotes from generals and soldiers as well. A carillion mounted in the bell plays music at designated intervals.
