The long tree lined street leading into Richards Park honors those who served from McCulloch County. At the entrance is the original memorial provided by the Gold Star Mothers of Brady to honor those lost in service during World War I and II. Their names are inscribed on a granite monument fashioned like an open book. In front of this monument is an eternal flame provided by Mayor Harry lamar Curtis in 1940-41.

At the far end of the landscaped street are memorials to Korea and Vietnam War. The Vietnam War memorial has four names inscribed upon it.
